At around 10:00 Sunday evening Wilmington Police along with Delaware State Police pursued a fleeing vehicle south on I-95 towards the Maryland state line.

The vehicle they were pursuing was reportedly used in a recent Wilmington shooting according to law enforcement sources. The pursuit continued into Maryland where Maryland State Police and several other agencies joined the chase.

On Sunday Wilmington Police reported that they were investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 2:23 p.m. in the area of 26th and Madison Streets on Sunday.

The victim in that shooting, a 22-year-old man, was found with gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
