Chase Of “Wilmington Shooting Suspects” Ends In Port Deposit, Maryland

At around 10:00 Sunday evening Wilmington Police along with Delaware State Police pursued a fleeing vehicle south on I-95 towards the Maryland state line.

The vehicle they were pursuing was reportedly used in a recent Wilmington shooting according to law enforcement sources. The pursuit continued into Maryland where Maryland State Police and several other agencies joined the chase.

The vehicle continued to flee from authorities and exited the highway near Port Deposit, Maryland.  Shortly after the vehicle exited I-95 the chase ended at MD-275 & Jacob Tome Memorial Hwy.

It’s not clear if the vehicle crashed or got boxed in. Three subjects fled from the vehicle on foot and were captured nearby.

On Sunday Wilmington Police reported that they were investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 2:23 p.m. in the area of 26th and Madison Streets on Sunday.

The victim in that shooting, a 22-year-old man, was found with gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
