New Castle – On Tuesday evening, May 25, just before 11:30 officers from the New Castle City and New Castle County Police Departments responded to the unit block of Meehan Avenue for a shooting. Responding officers arrived to find a 24-year-old female with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency first aid was performed by officers and EMTs. The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives from the New Castle City Police Department are actively investigating this incident.
