Philly Murder Of Donut Shop Manager Similar To Murder In Delaware

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured above.

Police say on  Saturday, June 5, 2021, at approximately 5:23 a.m., an unknown black male approached the manager to the Dunkin Donuts at 500 W. Lehigh Avenue while she was unlocking the business for the day and pushed her into the store, point of gun.

After forcing the manager to turn over currency from the office, the male shot her once in the head and fled the store in an unknown direction. The store manager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect Description: Black male, late 30’s to early 40’s, medium complexion, mustache and goatee, medium-to-stocky build, blue zip-up hooded sweatshirt, gray cargo sweatpants, light gray New Balance sneakers, analog watch on right wrist, blue gloves and blue “Covid” mask.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.  Police anyone that sees this suspect contact 911 immediately. Do not approach.

Last month a similar type robbery and murder occurred in Elsmere at the Metro by T-Mobile store.  Police have not said if they think the two are connected.
