Breaking: Officer Reportedly Shot In Cecil County, Maryland

Just after 3:45 Sunday afternoon rescue crews responded to Chesapeake Ridge Lane in North East, Maryland for reports that an officer had been shot.

Initial radio reports indicate that an officer reported shots fired and that an officer had been hit by gunfire at 3:45 pm. Multiple sources tell FSU that the officer was struck in the arm and that a tourniquet was applied at the scene.

It’s not clear which agency the officer works for or their condition. Officials have not released a statement regarding the incident just yet.

Sources also tell FSU that there may be an ongoing barricaded subject incident at the same location.

This is a developing story.
