Pike Creek Restaurant Robbed At Gunpoint, Car Stolen

Delaware State Police are investigating a cafe robbery on Wednesday night, according to Public Information Officer, Senior Corporal Jason Hatchell.

Hatchell said the incident occurred on July 14, 2021, at approximately 5:00 p.m., when troopers were dispatched to The Honey Baked Ham Company located at 4764 Limestone Road in Pike Creek for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male suspect approached a female employee. The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money from the employee.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect removed the employee’s car keys and other personal belongings. The suspect then fled out the rear exit door and drove off in the victim’s vehicle, which was also parked in the rear of the business.

The employee was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male approximately 6’5″ tall, approximately 250lbs., and wearing all dark clothing.
