Route 1 Motorcycle Accident Sends One To Hospital By Air

On Tuesday morning at approximately 12:36, New Castle County Paramedics were dispatched to the area of Route 1 southbound and the Drawyer’s Creek Bridge, for a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, according to  S/Sergeant Abigail E. Haas.

Haas said paramedics arrived on scene to find a single 57-year-old male patient who had been separated from his motorcycle. The man was treated on scene by the New Castle County Paramedics for a head injury and possible internal injuries, before he was flown to the Christiana Hospital, in Stanton, abord Delaware State Police helicopter, in critical condition.

The incident is being investigated by the Delaware State Police.
