Delaware State Police are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:08 a.m. this morning, October 27, 2021, on Interstate 95 northbound, south of the DelDOT yard, also known as “Sandbox.”
As a result of the crash, I95 northbound is closed at the SR1/Mall Rd exchange with emergency response vehicles on scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel. The road closure is anticipated to be lengthy, with no estimated time for a re-opening.
Route 1 NB traffic is being pushed onto Route 7. I-95 NB is being pushed onto Route 1 SB. Route 7 NB at Main St (Rt 4 WB), right lane blocked by a semi that dropped hay bales.
