Five Million Dollar Beach House Heavily Damaged By Fire Saturday

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating last night’s fire in Bethany Beach, Delaware that heavily damaged a house, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio.

Chionchio said the blaze, reported around 11:30 pm, occurred in the 39000 block of Seaside Drive in Bethany Village. Firefighters arrived on the scene with flames engulfing the oceanfront home. The home was occupied, however,  everyone was able to escape without injury.

State fire investigators are currently on the scene searching for the fire’s origin and cause. Heavy fire damage to the home occurred. The estimated cost of the damage has not been assessed at this time said Chionchio.

Online estimates value the home at roughly $5 million dollars.
