The Great Turkey Giveaway Is Underway, Headed To Wilmington On Friday

The CMA CGM Group, a world leader in shipping and logistics, will donate and distribute 12,000 turkeys across the US.

On Friday, November 19th, starting at 10:00 in the morning, families in need can pick up free turkeys (while supplies last). The drive-thru event will be held at the Delaware Tech Campus located at 400 Stanton Christiana Road.

The Wilmington event is part of the CMA CGM Group’s Giving Across America initiative to feed more than 130,000 Americans across the nation this Thanksgiving. The company and its subsidiaries are donating 12,000 turkeys and hot meals to support charitable food distributions across the country. The Thanksgiving Turkeys will be distributed in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Nashville, Wilmington, Houston, Savannah, and Norfolk, Virginia.

Employees of the CMA CGM Group will be on-site to help distribute the turkeys along with volunteers from the Salvation Army Delaware.

Organizers expect the event to last approximately three hours.
