On Tuesday, November 9th, The Middletown Police Department responded to E. Main Street and Dickenson Blvd. in Middletown for a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, according to Sr. Lieutenant Dawn Feldmann.
Feldmann said at approximately 11:00 in the morning a Harley Davidson motorcycle and Honda Element collided within the intersection. As a result of the collision, the 33-year-old motorcycle operator was transported to Christiana Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have identified the rider as Joseph DiMatteo of Townsend. The driver of the Honda and an adult passenger were not injured.
