Red Lion Crash Sends Two To Hospital, One By Air

At approximately 5:55 p.m., New Castle County Paramedics (NCCEMS), Christiana Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the 2300 block of Red Lion Road for reports of a motor vehicle collision with entrapment, according to NCCEMS Assistant PIO Emily Mallon.

Mallon said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found a total of two patients. A 45-year-old male was treated for back and extremity injuries. He was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter in serious condition. A 61-year-old female was treated for chest and extremity injuries. She was transported to Christiana Hospital via Christiana Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics, in stable condition.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
