Carjackers Rush Women At Gas Pump In New Castle, Take Her Car

The Delaware State Police are investigating a carjacking that took place at New Castle Wawa Friday night, according to Public Information Officer, Senior Corporal Jason Hatchell.

Hatchell said the incident occurred at approximately 6:14 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022, at the gas pump of the Wawa located at 1400 Beaverbrook Plaza in New Castle. A 63-year-old female victim parked her black 2011 Chevrolet Malibu at the gas pump and was outside of the vehicle when three suspects all wearing ski masks ran up to her, one who demanded her vehicle, according to Hatchel. The victim complied and the suspects fled in the stolen Malibu. The victim was not injured during the incident.

The suspects were described as three black males wearing ski masks.
