Police: Investigation Leads To Burglary Charges For Wilmington Man

Wilmington Police have arrested a man on burglary charges following an investigation.

Officials said on January 19 at approximately 6:15 a.m., police responded to the 600 block of North Shipley Street for a burglary complaint. Through investigative measures, police were able to identify 38-year-old Hani Mohamed as the suspect, according to police. Warrants were signed for Mohamed and he was taken into custody without incident on January 21 in the area of 7th and Washington Streets.

Mohamed was charged with the following offenses:
Burglary 3rd Degree
Theft Over $1,500
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $6,000 secured bail.
