One Dead, Others Critically Injured In Route 40 Crash

At around 8:30 Thursday evening rescue crews responded to Pulaski Highway (Route 40) in the area of School Bell Road for reports of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

While en route crews learned that the vehicle may be on fire with one patient trapped. Shortly after that report a Trooper on scene pull that patient from the vehicle and reported that a patient in another vehicle had been ejected from their vehicle.

First arriving crews reported that a juvenile had succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Three other patients 1 child and two adults were transported in critical condition.
