A man wanted for a murder in Pennsylvania was arrested in Delaware Monday morning.
Officials said Jihad Perry, who was wanted in connection with the deadly shooting near Widener University on May 5, 2022, was taken into custody by federal authorities in New Castle, Delaware.
Members of the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force took Jihad Perry into custody in the Radner Green development in Claymont at around 11:30 a.m. for criminal homicide and Pennsylvania State Parole violations.
Perry remains at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution awaiting extradition. He is set to appear in a Delaware court next week.
This investigation was a joint effort by the Chester City Police Department, Delaware County CID, U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, The First State Fugitive Task Force in Delaware, Pennsylvania State Parole, and the New Castle County SWAT Team.
