Body Found In Rehoboth Beach, Death Investigation Underway

Delaware State Police are conducting a death investigation after a body was discovered Sunday morning.

Officials said on earlier this morning at approximately 11:32 a.m., troopers were dispatched to a wooded area near East Atlantic Apartments in reference to a death investigation.

When troopers arrived, they observed the body of a male victim in a wooded area where homeless individuals are known to frequent, according to police.

The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene, and the body was turned over to the Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy.

Officials said this incident does not pose a threat to public safety. Next of kin notification is pending, so no additional details can be provided at this time.
