14-Year-Old Boy Shot In Claymont Sunday Evening

Yesterday, Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the West Brandywine Avenue area for a report of a shooting that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, they found a 14-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower extremity. The officers rendered medical aid, and he was transported to a local area hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.
