County Police Update Wednesday’s Newark-Area Shooting

New Castle County Police have released details in a shooting the only FSU told you about yesterday.

Officials said patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the entrance of Spring Crossing Apartments for a report of a shooting that had just occurred.

When the officers arrived, they located a 17-year-old male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound to a lower extremity. He was transported to a local area hospital by ambulance where he was treated and released.

Breaking Report

New Castle County Police are investigating a shooting in Glasgow.

Just before 2:10, Wednesday afternoon rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Police resound to 41 Winterhaven Drive In Newark for reports of a shooting.

Trooper 4, already in the air patrolling, arrived in the area shortly after the call came in.  Trooper 4 landed nearby before crews reported that they would go by ground.

It’s believed that one patient was transported with a wound to a lower extremity.
