County Police Story

Detectives from the New Castle County Police have arrested four individuals in reference to two separate distraction-style burglaries that occurred in New Castle County according to Cpl. Michael McNasby.

McNasby said the first incident occurred on Friday, November 11, 2022, in the Sedgley Farms Community – Wilmington. At 3:37 PM officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Wayland Road in reference to a trespassing incident. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 75-year-old male victim. The victim reported that an unknown suspect knocked on his front door. The victim stated that the suspect posed as a utility worker and requested to enter the home. The victim allowed the suspect to enter his home at which time he was followed by two additional suspects. After a short time, the victim became suspicious and asked the suspects for identification. The victim reported that the suspects then fled the residence in a hurry and left the neighborhood in a white BMW SUV.

The second incident occurred on Saturday, November 12, 2022, in the Sherwood Park Community – Wilmington. At 2:50 PM officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Milltown Road in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 103-year-old female victim. The victim reported an unknown male suspect entered her residence without knocking and posed as a utility worker. The victim explained the suspect had her escort him to the basement and told her to remain downstairs. During that time, the suspect moved throughout the residence and stole approximately $3,400.00 in assorted jewelry from the victim said McNasby. Multiple interviews were conducted at the scene with witnesses and the suspect vehicle was described as a white BMW SUV with a Florida tag.

On Monday, November 14, 2022, officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were able to locate and stop the white BMW. During the vehicle stop, officers took four suspects into custody without incident. The suspects were identified as:

Angelo Bimbo (27) unknown residency

Nicholas Williams (23) of Ephraim, New Jersey

Mandy Frank (23) of Ephraim, New Jersey
