No One Injured At William Penn HS, Lockdown Lifted

Delaware State Police are currently conducting a criminal investigation at William Penn High School located at 713 E. Basin Road, New Castle. As a result, there is an increased police presence in the area. There are no injuries and there is no active threat to the school. We ask the public to please avoid the area. Parents do not respond to the school.

FSU has been told that two shots went off during a fight in a bathroom at the school shortly before 11:30. Police have not confirmed those details. No medical crews have been dispatched to the scene.

It is anticipated that there will be a regular dismissal of the students.

At this time, there is an active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released once made available.
