Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Being Struck Monday

At approximately 9:55 pm, New Castle County Paramedics, Christiana Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the area of Salem Church Road and Cornell Drive for a motor vehicle collision with a pedestrian struck.

Paramedic Assistant PIO Oliver Kocher said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found a 29-year-old female patient in the care of Christiana Fire Company EMTs. The patient suffered injuries to her head and extremities. She was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and was transported to Christiana Hospital via Christiana Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in critical condition at the time of transport.
