Two Young Children Seriously Injured In New Castle Accident

At approximately 7:59 pm, New Castle County Paramedics, Wilmington Manor Fire Company, Goodwill Fire Company of New Castle, and the Delaware Air National Guard Fire Department were dispatched to the 100 block of S. DuPont Highway for a motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found the two pediatric patients in the care of Wilmington Manor Fire Company and Goodwill Fire Company EMTs.

A 7-year-old male patient with head injuries. The patient was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and was transported to A.I. DuPont Hospital via Wilmington Manor Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in critical condition at the time of transport.

An 8-year-old male with injuries to his head and extremities. The patient was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and was transported to A.I. DuPont Hospital via Goodwill Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police is investigating the incident.
