Pair Facing Gun And Drug Charges Released On Unsecured Bail

Wilmington Police have arrested two men on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

Officials said on February 15 at approximately 3:36 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were conducting an investigation in the 300 block of West 7th Street. Officers observed two male subjects engaged in drug related activity. Officers conducted a pedestrian stop on both subjects, 32-year-old Daniel Mcclain and 46-year-old Kenneth Chandler, who were taken into custody without incident, and Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and 409 grams of marijuana.

Mcclain has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He was arraigned in the New Castle Court of Common Pleas and released on $3,001 unsecured bail.
Chandler has been charged with the following offense:

  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon

He was arraigned in the New Castle Court of Common Pleas and released on $3,000 unsecured bail.
