Police: Teen Facing 119 Charges In New Castle County Crime Spree

The New Castle County Division of Police has arrested a 17-year-old juvenile from Wilmington for charges connected with 36 different reported incidents.

Officials said during the dates of October 24, 2022 and December 8, 2022 officers were dispatched to numerous thefts and motor vehicle thefts in the communities of Jarrell Farms, Autumnwood, Vincent Lane Townhouses, Lambeth Riding, Huntington, Sherwood Park, and Brennan Estates.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police identified the 17-year-old as a suspect in the incidents police said Thursday. Following a lengthy investigation, the suspect was charged with;

31 felony counts of burglary in the third degree.

36 felony counts of conspiracy in the second degree.

3 felony counts of theft of a motor vehicle.

2 felony counts of receiving stolen property.

1 felony count of unlawful use of a payment card.

19 misdemeanor counts of theft.

26 misdemeanor counts of attempted theft.

1 misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.

The suspect was later apprehended in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 9, 2023. He was extradited to Delaware on February 22, 2023 and arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11. He is being held at the New Castle County Detention Center on $184,000.00 secured bail.
