Police: Woman Charged With Murder In Stabbing Death On Tuesday

Wilmington Police have arrested a Dover woman in connection with Tuesday evening’s fatal stabbing incident.

Officials said on January 31 at 8:31 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2200 block of North Pine Street in reference to a stabbing incident that had occurred. Police located a 59-year-old male stabbing victim, who was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Ernest Peterson.

Responding officers took 59-year-old Renee Mosley of Dover into custody at the scene according to police.

The case was assigned to Detective Joseph Wicks of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, he identified Mosley as a suspect in connection with the stabbing incident and obtained warrants for her arrest.

Officials said this incident is believed to have been domestic in nature.

Mosley has been charged with Murder (First Degree) and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony

She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $2,000,000 cash-only bail.
