The New Castle County Division of Police is currently attempting to locate 35-year-old Victor Alamo of New Castle in reference to charges related to first-degree attempted murder.
Officials said on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at approximately 7:18 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Valley Road, Wilmington, Delaware in reference to a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a scene and the victim. The victim reported he was sitting inside his motor vehicle at which time a male suspect approached him armed with a firearm. The suspect then discharged multiple gunshots into the vehicle prior to fleeing from the scene police said.
Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Through investigative measures, a suspect was identified as Victor Alamo (35) of New Castle. An arrest warrant was issued for Victor charging him with one felony count of attempted murder in the first degree and additional weapons charges.
All efforts to locate and apprehend Victor have been unsuccessful. Victor Alamo is considered armed and dangerous and his current whereabouts are unknown.
Earlier today police along with SWAT were on Winder Avenue Road in New Castle. FSU is told that that response was associated with the earlier incident.
