The Harrington Police Department has charged a Dover man for dealing in child porn, according to police.
Officials said on March 25, 2023, the Harrington Police Department arrested Scott Babinski, 54 of Dover, for 25 counts of Dealing in Child Pornography.
On February 8, 2023, the Harrington Police Department was advised of a subject who was planning on meeting a 13-year-old girl in the 6,000 block of Milford Harrington Highway in Harrington police said. Babinski was taken into custody without incident and his cell phone was also seized.
Babinski was charged on February 8, 2023, with Sexual Solicitation of a Child Under 18 to Engage in Prohibited Sexual Act. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute for this charge on a $60,000 cash bond and was later released after posting bond.
There was a search of the cell phone completed by the Delaware State Police High Technology Crime Unit where they located child pornography. Babinski was later arrested again at his residence on March 25, 2023, and transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing and arraignment through the Justice of the Peace Court #7. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute on a $1,000,000 Cash Bond
