Delaware State Police have identified Terrance Frisby, 20, of Georgetown, as the victim of the homicide at Dunbarton Apartments on February 27, 2023.
Earlier today State Police announced that they had made arrests in Frisby’s death.
Delaware State Police arrested Jaron Curtis, 24, of Dagsboro, and Kevin Stone, 61, of Georgetown for murder and related charges following an incident at the end of February.
Officials said on February 27, 2023, at approximately 8:28 p.m., the Georgetown Police Department responded to the Dunbarton Apartments for a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment.
A preliminary investigation showed that the victim was a visitor at the apartment. A female knocked on the apartment door. The victim answered and let the female in. Once the female was inside the apartment, an unknown male suspect forced the apartment door open and shot the victim several times police said. The suspects then fled on foot. Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Through investigative means, detectives determined Jaron Curtis and Kevin Stone were the suspects in the homicide and obtained warrants for their arrest police said Saturday. On March 3, 2023, a search warrant was conducted by members of the Maryland State Police and the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force at a residence on Bethel Road, in Berlin, Maryland.
During the execution of the search warrant, Jaron Curtis was taken into custody without incident. Jaron Curtis was arrested on an out-of-state fugitive warrant and is being held by the Department of Corrections pending extradition to Delaware on the charges of Murder 1st Degree (Felony), Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony), and Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony).
On the same day, March 3, 2023, Kevin Stone was charged while in custody at the Sussex Correctional Institution. He was charged with Murder 1st Degree (Felony) and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony). Stone was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and remained in the custody of the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1,060,000 cash bond.
