Two Seriously Injured In Milford Crash Sunday

Just before 1:30 Sunday afternoon, rescue crews responded to the 7500 block of Wilkins Road in Milford for reports of a motor vehicle crash with serious injuries.

First to arrive reported wires down with fire in a ditch. Crews quickly updated that the fire was threatening two structures. In the next report, crews reported that two patients would need to be extricated from the vehicle.

As crews worked to assist the patients Command requested a brush truck to contain the fire. He also requested a second helicopter. While crews continued to respond to the scene a man with a backhoe sprung into action and began working to cut a fire line trying to stop the spreading fire. The fire was eventually brought under control.

It’s believed that the two patients were transported to Bay Health Sussex just blocks away in critical condition.

This is a developing story.
