Monday Night Neighborhood Lockdown Ends With Gold Alert

The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for Peter Siekierda, a 64-year-old New Castle man.  Peter was last seen on Tuesday (4/25) at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Officials said police were called to Peter’s home after family members became concerned about his well-being as he had fallen out of bed.  In an attempt to get Peter treatment, family members advised they would call for an ambulance during which time Peter displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot paramedics if they responded to the residence police said.

Police responded to the home located in the unit block of Bunker Hill Road (Penn Acres); however, after an hours-long neighborhood lockdown and a search of the residence, learned Peter had fled on foot.

Peter is described as a white male, 5’8’’ tall, weighing approximately 170-190 lbs., with short white hair and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing an unknown color T-shirt and blue jeans.
