Multiple People Reportedly Shot In Newark Tuesday, One Fatally

Just after 9:10, Tuesday evening rescue crews from Aetna, Hose, Hook, Ladder, Christiana Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics, New Castle County Police, and DSP Aviation’s Trooper 4 were dispatched to a shooting in Newark.

Responding crews were told that three people were shot and suffering from their wounds inside a home in the unit block of Clipper Court in the Four Seasons area of Newark.

Upon their arrival, crews found one patient mortally wounded. That patient was pronounced deceased at the scene according to sources familiar with the incident. Initial reports are that at least one victim was transported to the trauma center.

There are also reports that another person that was shot was located at another location.

County Police issued the following statement “Members of the New Castle County Division of Police are currently conducting a shooting investigation near the unit block of Clipper Court – Four Seasons. The public can expect to see several road closures and an increased police presence in the area.”
