Millsboro Man Charged With Continuously Raping A Child

A Millsboro man, Ronald Gay, has been arrested and charged with multiple sexual assault offenses against a child.

According to the Millsboro Police Department, the charges stem from incidents that date back to 2014. The arrest was made after an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse.

The charges against Ronald Gay include first-degree rape, unlawful sexual contact in the first degree, and continuous sexual abuse of a child. These charges indicate that the sexual abuse was not a one-time incident but was ongoing and occurred multiple times over a period of years police said.

Following his arrest, Ronald Gay was brought before the Superior Court and arraigned on the charges. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $80,000 cash bail. Additionally, the Court issued a no-contact order, preventing Ronald Gay from having any contact with anyone under the age of 18 years old.

This case is a sobering reminder of the terrible impact of sexual abuse, especially when the victim is a child. Sexual abuse can cause severe physical and emotional trauma and can leave lifelong scars on the victim.
