Glasgow Park Closed Due To Thursday Morning Shooting

Just after 1:30 Thursday morning, Glasgow Park on Route 40 became the scene of a shooting incident according to New Castle County Police.

Officers arrived at Glasgow Park to investigate the shooting. As a result, the park was immediately closed to the public, and an increased police presence was established in the surrounding area. Authorities have stated that the park will remain closed until further notice

Although police have not yet confirmed the details, initial reports from the scene indicate that a juvenile was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The condition of the injured juvenile remains unknown at this time.

Investigation teams have set up operations near the playground area of the park, suggesting that the incident may have occurred in close proximity.

There are unconfirmed reports that there may have been a second victim in this incident.
