The Wilmington Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that took place today at approximately 4:57 p.m.
According to police reports, officers arrived in the 3200 block of North Monroe Street and discovered a 29-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The injury sustained by the victim was determined to be minor after receiving medical attention. He was treated and released from the hospital.
As the investigation is still ongoing, the Wilmington Police Department is actively working to gather additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
