Milford Police Investigating Shooting That Left A Young Man Hospitalized

On Thursday evening the neighborhood of Brightway Commons in Milford was disrupted by an incident involving gunfire. Officers from the Milford Police Department on patrol responded to the scene after hearing shots fired around 6:10 pm.

Upon their arrival, the officers were unable to immediately locate a victim. However, they did discover property that had been struck by the gunfire, suggesting that a potentially dangerous situation had taken place.

Shortly thereafter, a 20-year-old male victim arrived at Bayhealth Sussex Campus via a private vehicle. Officials said his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening, and he was listed in stable condition.

Lieutenant Robert Masten of the Milford Police Department said that this incident remains under active investigation. The authorities are urging anyone with relevant information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing inquiry.
