Police: Woman Robbed At Gunpoint In Her Driveway

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon in Georgetown.

At around 5:05 Saturday afternoon authorities responded to a residence located on the 26000 block of Governor Stockley Road, where the robbery had just taken place.

According to the information gathered, a 62-year-old individual had recently arrived home and was seated in her parked car in the driveway.

The woman was approached by two unidentified black males, both brandishing handguns. One of the assailants got into the passenger seat, while the other forcibly opened the victim’s door and demanded her phone and bank cards according to police. After taking her belongings, the perpetrator pulled the victim out of the vehicle and attempted to drive away. However, both suspects abandoned the car shortly after, fleeing on foot towards their own parked vehicle parked on a nearby dirt driveway. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

The suspects were both described as black males wearing dark clothing. At present, no details regarding the vehicle they used have been provided, and there is no available footage or images from surveillance sources.
