Rider Airlifted After Crash In Harrington Sunday

Just after 1:20 Sunday afternoon rescue crews responded to a motorcycle accident at the intersection of South Dupont Highway and Hammondtown Road in Harrington.

Emergency response units from Farmington and Harrington, along with medics and Delaware State Police (DSP) Aviation Trooper 2, were dispatched to assist at the scene. The severity of the collision prompted authorities to request the assistance of a second aviation unit. That helicopter, Trooper 4, was later recalled and not utilized.

The rider of the motorcycle, reportedly ejected from the bike, was airlifted via Trooper and landed at CER just minutes ago.
