The incident unfolded when troopers located a silver 2022 Toyota Highlander with Florida registration, which had been reported stolen, entering the parking lot of the Budget Inn located at 3 Memorial Drive in New Castle according to police.

Officials said at approximately 1:21 a.m., as law enforcement approached the stolen vehicle, it quickly exited the parking lot and began heading westbound on Memorial Drive.
