Wilmington Police are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that took place in the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m., and involved two victims, a 19-year-old female and a 13-year-old male, who sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the hospital and are currently in stable condition.

Initial reports suggest that the incident occurred in the vicinity of Maryland Avenue and Broom. Upon receiving reports of a drive-by shooting, law enforcement officers responded to the scene. On arrival the officers discovered the two individuals who had been injured by gunfire.
