Just before 7:15 a.m., Saturday morning rescue crews from the Odessa and Townsend Fire Companies were dispatched to DuPont Parkway (Route 13) at Harris Road in Townsend for reports of a motor vehicle collision.
The incident has left the roadway strewn with debris, a light pole down, and multiple vehicles involved. At least one patient has been transported to Christiana Hospital.
The northbound lanes of Route 13 are currently closed while the accident is investigated and cleared.
Update: At 8:07 the road appears to be reopened – Trooper and tow truck remain on the shoulder.
