On Wednesday the Diamond State Port Corporation (DSPC) announced that it has granted its final approval for Enstructure, LLC to take over operations at the Port of Wilmington. This decision, which received concurrent approval from legislative leaders designated by the State’s Joint Capital Improvement Committee, marks a significant milestone for the port’s future.
Enstructure, a prominent U.S. marine terminal and logistics company with a network of 21 marine terminals, has emerged as the selected operator, replacing GT USA Wilmington, LLC. The transition of responsibility is expected to take place within the coming days.
A unanimous decision by the DSPC Board on July 7 paved the way for Enstructure’s selection, subsequently receiving concurrent approval from state lawmakers.
Enstructure’s proposal to assume operations at the Port of Wilmington includes plans to invest up to $65 million in the port over the next five years, depending on growth.
