Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Traffic Services Unit are currently conducting an investigation into a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in Newark.
Officials said on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 8:39 p.m., Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Sheldon Drive in reference to a crash that just occurred.
Officers arrived at the scene and located a 26-year-old male underneath a motorcycle. First responders attempted to administer first aid however, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the Traffic Services Unit responded to assume the investigation. Investigation on scene revealed that the victim lost control while negotiating a turn at which time he struck a tree.
