Rescue crews from the Delaware City Fire Company and New Castle County Paramedics were called to a scene on Route 1 SB near Red Lion Creek Road just after 10:30 Saturday morning.
While en route to the scene, crews learned that a Delaware State Police Trooper, already present at the scene, was reporting that the individual was unresponsive.
Upon arrival, the New Castle County Paramedics discovered that the patient had passed away. The incident remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
Law enforcement officials are on-site currently conducting a death investigation. Expect traffic disruptions and delays in the vicinity of the incident.
