The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a bank robbery that took place yesterday afternoon at the M&T Bank on Concord Pike in Wilmington. Authorities are seeking the assistance of the public in locating the suspect, identified as 57-year-old Brian Adam, a resident of Wilmington.
Officials said the incident occurred on July 5, 2023, at approximately 12:50 p.m. Troopers promptly responded to a report of a robbery at the M&T Bank branch. According to the information gathered, Brian Adam approached a teller and demanded money police said Thursday. The teller complied with Adam’s demands, and he fled the bank on foot, clutching an undisclosed sum of cash in a blue bag. Despite the efforts of law enforcement, Adam evaded capture.
Presently, Brian Adam’s current whereabouts remain unknown. It is worth noting that he has a distinguishing feature, a deformed left hand, according to police. Authorities said that they suspect he may still be in the North Wilmington area. In addition to this incident, Adam is also a person of interest in an ongoing bank robbery investigation that originated in late June according to police.
In that incident, on June 22, 2023, at around 11:39 a.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery at the Citizens Bank located within the Acme grocery store at 2098 Naamans Road. Police said a white male suspect approached a teller and demanded money, which was promptly handed over. The suspect fled the bank on foot, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash. Despite an extensive search effort by law enforcement in the vicinity, the suspect eluded capture. The teller involved in that incident was unharmed.
