Arrest Made In Camden Redner’s Shooting

Police have made an arrest in the Tuesday night shooting that left a Camden Redner’s employee hospitalized in stable condition.

Officials said that Detectives identified Jaymere Matthews, 19, of Magnolia as the suspect in the shooting that led to an area-wide search with multiple police agencies and a police helicopter.

Matthews has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited from carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

He is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of a $230,500 secured bond.

Court records show that Matthews was transported to SCI at around 6:40 p.m. Thursday.
