Crash Sends Two To Hospital Early Friday

On August 4, 2023, at approximately 10:40 a.m., a motor vehicle collision took place at the intersection of Wilmington Road and Edgewood Drive.

New Castle County Paramedics Assistant PIO Jamielee Majewski said the incident triggered a response from various emergency agencies due to several injuries.

Upon receiving the 911 call, the Good Will Fire Company of New Castle, Holloway Terrace Fire Company, and the New Castle County Paramedics responded to the scene. Additionally, Minquadale Fire Company and Delaware State Police Aviation Division were dispatched but were not utilized.

When the emergency units arrived at the intersection, they found a two-car collision with multiple individuals injured.

One of the injured victims, a 43-year-old male, received assistance from New Castle County Paramedics aboard a Holloway Terrace ambulance. His condition was stable, but he required further medical evaluation and was transported to Wilmington Hospital.

Another injured individual, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was transported to Christiana Hospital by Basic Life Support Ambulance for treatment. One of the individuals involved declined medical services.

New Castle City Police are investigating the accident.
