Just after 12:10 Wednesday afternoon rescue crews responded to the 1500 block of Bay Road north of Milford, for an accident
Initial reports from the scene indicate that the crash, which is a fatal crash, involved a pumper truck and a lawnmower. The reports also indicate that one person was killed and another badly injured.
In response to this situation, HAZMAT crews were also dispatched to the scene.
Route 1 is closed in both directions while police investigate and clear the accident.
