Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a shooting incident that occurred last month.
Officials said on the evening of July 23, 2023, at approximately 10:56, officers responded to the 1300 block of East 28th Street, where a 20-year-old male victim was found with gunshot wounds. The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Detective Michael Hayman of the Criminal Investigations Division led the investigation and identified 21-year-old Shaquan Koger as a suspect police said Monday. On August 3, police located Koger in the 1300 block of East 27th Street and apprehended him following a brief foot pursuit.
Koger is facing several charges, including attempted murder (first degree), possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (two counts), possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited (two counts), carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and reckless endangering (first degree).
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is currently held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $266,000 cash-only bail.
