Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that hospitalized a man Monday morning.
On August 21, 2023, at 5:58 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to Interstate 495 Southbound in the vicinity of Cauffiel Parkway for a motor vehicle collision with injuries. The incident involved a single vehicle, a pickup truck, which had left the roadway and subsequently caught fire.
Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found a 30-year-old male that had sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The individual was transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. During the transport, the patient’s condition was reported as stable, suffering from injuries to the extremities and possible internal injuries.
Emergency responders included New Castle County Paramedics, Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, Claymont Fire Company., and the Delaware State Police.
