New Castle County Paramedics along with the Minquas Fire Company of Newport and Elsmere Fire Company, responded to an accident that involved an 18-year-old male bicyclist being struck by a vehicle.
The incident took place at approximately 1:22 p.m. on Newport Gap Pike in the vicinity of Burnside Boulevard.
At the time of transport, the young bicyclist was in critical condition, suffering head and internal injuries.
